Albert Isaac passed away at the age of 97 years, 364 days at the Burwell Memorial Community Care Center on January 25, 2025.
Albert was born January 26, 1927, on the Miller Brothers 101 Ranch in Kay County, Oklahoma, to Elmer and Geneva (Collins) Isaac, as the third child of seven children. Albert left home at the age of 13, finding work on the Sombrero "Hat" Ranch in Texas. He entered the Army during WWII and served in the Philippines and in Occupied Japan.
Albert married Roseda Wallace in 1951, and they had four children. He worked several jobs in several communities before settling in North Platte, Nebraska. He was a mechanic, a trade he learned in the Army. He had a big heart, and was always helping people in need. After his retirement, the couple moved back to Ponca City, Oklahoma to care for her aging parents. They returned to North Platte in 2017 to be near their children and grandchildren. Albert was a former member of the North Platte Odd Fellows, and had served on their Board of Directors. He was a member of the Paxton American Legion Post 303. He put his faith in the God.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; Roseda's parents; his siblings, and one grandchild, Cori Lynn Isaac.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Roseda; children Russell (Shirley) Isaac of North Platte; Vicki (Richard) Colson of Paxton; Raymond (Susan) Isaac of North Platte; and Edward (Olivia) Isaac of West Point, NE; as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be graveside at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebraska on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. CT. Prairie Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
