Bryan E. Riggs, 61, of Brule, passed away March 15, 2021, in his home.
Bryan was born in Iola, Kansas, to Bryan and Corabelle ("Joan" Weathers) Riggs on October 8, 1959. He attended school in the Denver area.
Bryan had a son Bryan Hamm (little B) with Heather Hamm and a stepson Tyler Hamm
Bryan was a man of many talents. He worked as a building restoration specialist at Building Restoration Specialties Inc, for many years throughout the Denver metro area. Bryan was also quite mechanically inclined and found great enjoyment working on and collecting cars. Bryan relocated to Brule from Denver in the early 2000s, to be closer to family.
Bryan had a gritty gruffness to his personality that seemed a suitable match for his well-worn and calloused hands. His rugged demeanor would melt away for the persistent, and for those that truly got to know Bryan, there was an endearing loyalty, friendship, and ornery humor that would emerge. He had a gift with cars and restored many of his own, including his beloved blue Chevelle SS and his Black Chevelle that he called the Black beauty. Despite his love for collecting cars, his family and friends lovingly, and at times deservedly, teased him about his penchant for penny-pinching. Family meant the world to Bryan, and he shared a very special connection with his youngest son, who enjoys his namesake.
Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his mother Corabelle "Joan" Riggs of Thornton Colorado and Bryan Roy (Barbara) Riggs of Chappell, son, Bryan Hamm of Crowley County, CO; stepson, Tyler Hamm of Denver, CO; The boy's mother Heather Hamm of Denver,4 grandchildren, two sisters, Marie Reynolds (Gary) of CO, Romona Fletcher of Brule; brother, Scott (Lesa) Riggs of Lemoyne; along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews and friends.
A memorial has been established in Bryan's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
