CHERYL L BALDERSON, 77 of Ogallala, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant.
Cheryl was born March 8, 1943, at Holyoke, Colorado, to Glenn and Opal Balderson. She attended school at Paioli, Colorado, before moving to Steamboat Springs for a time. Cheryl eventually moved to Ogallala, where she started working at TRW. She worked for Pump and Pantry before taking a position at the North Shore Lodge, working in the convenience store. Cheryl loved working at the lake, and when she wasn't on the job, she preferred to be fishing. Cheryl also enjoyed playing cards and was a surprisingly good pool player. In the mid-1990s, Cheryl had a leg amputated and suffered from chronic pain afterward. Despite her lot, she kept a positive outlook and never lost her characteristic spunk.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bloyce Balderson.
She is survived by many friends who will honor her memory, including Connie Chambers, Vickie Podoll, Ty, Treg, Schyler, and Logan Anderson, all of Ogallala.
No public services are planned at this time for Cheryl. A memorial has been established in her memory for later designation, care of Connie Chambers, 110 East H Street, Ogallala NE 69153.
