CHRISTOPHER JAMES CONNOT, 32, of Keystone, passed away April 1, 2020, at home.
Christopher was born February 2, 1988, at North Platte, Nebraska, to James Chris & Penny Sue (Douglass) Connot. He graduated from Ogallala High School with the class of 2006. Christopher aspired to join the Army National Guard. He attended boot camp between his junior and senior in Georgia, but a knee injury necessitated his medical discharge shortly after.
In 2012, Christopher married Amber L. Striepling, and they were blessed with a daughter, Abi LeeAnn, whom Christopher adored. Christopher and Amber returned to Nebraska, where he worked several jobs before he found the one that gave him much joy and peace, working on a ranch, which he loved and devoted himself to for the next nine years. He had a strong faith and thirsted for the truth. Christopher loved spending time outdoors, especially when it involved hunting and fishing. He was also an avid Husker fan.
Christopher was preceded in death by his Great Grandma, Winnie Roby; and grandparents, Leo and Gertrude Connot.
Survivors include his wife and daughter, Amber and Abi Connot; mother, Penny (Todd) Benda of Ogallala; father, Jim Connot of Chapman; siblings, Kari (Matt) Moser of Imperial, Tyler Benda of Ogallala, Lydia, Sarah, Thomas, and Zac Connot all of Gering; grandparents, Vance and Jan Douglass of Ashby; niece, Presley; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
