CLEONA D. DOUGLAS, 83 of Ogallala, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Ogallala Community Hospital.
Cleona was born May 6, 1934, at Denmark, Nebraska to Ralph and Irene (Thomsen) Gutherless. She graduated from Maxwell High School with the class of 1952.
Shortly after graduation, Cleona married Reinhold Heil; the couple made their home south of North Platte, and their union was blessed with two children, Randy and Roxie. Reinhold passed away in 1985. Cleona would eventually marry Pete Norman Douglas in 1987, and they made their home in North Platte. In 2013, Cleona moved to Ogallala to be closer to her family.
Cleona was active in the VFW and the Cootie Club. For many years, Cleona helped plan the VFW sponsored Easter egg hunt at Cody Park in North Platte. She loved gardening, sewing, canning, playing cards, as well as crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Cleona was preceded in death by her parents; and both of her husbands.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Ellen) Heil of North Platte, Roxie (Neil) Breece of Ogallala; grandchildren, R.C. (Christian) Heil and Michael (Stephanie) Heil, all of North Platte, Amanda (Adam) Peters of Ogallala, Lyndsey (Cody) Phillips of Hastings, Mandy Breece and special friend, Clay Fraser of Brule, Jase Breece and special friend, Lindsey of Lincoln; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great- great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lucille Meyer of Scottsbluff, Eunice Masters of North Platte, and Bunny (Floyd) Bokoskie of North Platte; 1 sister-in-law, Kate Wingett; brother-in-law, Dale (Carol) Douglas of North Plattel along with numorous nieces and nephews.

Graveside inurnment services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell. Memorial book signing will be on Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala.
