DENNIS DALE MCCORMICK, 78 of Ogallala, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.
He was born September 2, 1940, in Imperial, Nebraska to William Dale and Barbara June (West) McCormick.
In his younger years, he attended schools in Grant, NE. He graduated from Ogallala High School in 1958. In June 1960 he married Kathleen "Kaye" McCroden, they resided in Denver, Colorado for several years and later in Dallas, TX, Thousand Oaks, CA, and Prescott, AZ.
In his professional career, he worked in management of production, inventory controls, and computerized systems. He worked for such companies as Martin Marietta Aerospace, Honeywell Test Instruments, Teledyne Aerospace, Hewlett Packard, and Oracle Software Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Terrell.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen "Kaye" of Ogallala; two sons, Kevin Michael and Scott Allyn both of Denver; four grandchildren, Brian McCormick of Lincoln; Shannon Sharpe of Lexington, South Carolina; Riley and Madeline McCormick both of Denver; and one sister, Shari McCormick-Luna of Beaumont, California.
A memorial has been established in his memory to St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. Condolences can be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 15, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala with Father Bryan Ernest as Celebrant. Cremation will follow with interment of cremains in the Ogallala Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church.
