EDITH J. LIGGETT, 70 of Ogallala, passed away November 3, 2021, at Great Plains Health in North Platte.
Edith was born November 20, 1950, at Ogallala, Nebraska, to Harold and Betty (Hudson) Liggett. She graduated from ESU 16.
Edith was a nearly lifelong resident of Ogallala, where she had worked with PAKS workshop for many years.
In 2013, Edith moved to Omaha to be closer to family and subsequently returned to Ogallala a couple of years later, living with her niece and caregiver, Charlotte, throughout that time.
Edith had a keen sense for the beautiful, with both an eye for art and an ear for music. She was enthralled by all things arts and crafts and had an extensive collection of paintings that she had made over the years. Edith also loved to crotchet. There typically wasn't a quiet moment in Edith's house, as she would either have a movie or music playing most of the time.
While Edith loved the Beatles, nobody could compete with Elvis by her account. She was such an avid fan that she had made the trip to Graceland twice.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her siblings, Robert Liggett of Ogallala, Linda (Todd) Hudson of Ogallala, Cathy Liggett of Ogallala; nieces, Charlotte (Leila) Hudson of Ogallala and Tonya (Edward) Bassett of Ogallala and their children Zachary, Matthew, Cole, Aiden, and Jaxson; and many other relatives and friends.
