EVERT E. BREECE, 92, of Ogallala, passed away September 13, 2019, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.
Evert was born November 13, 1926, to Seibert and Myrtle (Mayberry) Breece. He grew up in Niobrara, NE. He served in the US Army during World War II.
On August 4th 1951, Evert married Marjorie M. Pochop, and the couple made their home in Norfolk where Evert was employed with the Chicago North Western Railroad for several years. He also drove a semi for General Wholesale during those years in Norfolk. The family moved to Ogallala in 1958, where Evert was employed with the Ogallala Police Department for over twenty years.
Evert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing any chance he got. He also loved baseball and softball, which was a passion he shared with his father and brother. Evert was also an excellent bowler, and spent a great deal of time at Cornhusker Lanes over the fifty-seven years he played the game.
Evert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bernice Robinette and Kathleen Morrow; and brother, Seibert Breece.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Breece of Ogallala; children, Jodie Titkemeier of Norfolk and Neil (Roxie) Breece of Ogallala; five grandchildren, Malissa (Landon) Grothe, Lyndsey (Cody) Phillips, Mandy (Clay) Breece, Amanda (Adam) Peters, and Jase (Lindsey) Breece; thirteen great-grandchildren, Benjamin Peters, Gavin Peters, Peyton Criss, Brennan Criss, Colton Phillips, Paxton Grothe, Paisley Grothe, Parlei Grothe, Daelyn Krajewski, Corbyn Fraser, Ryan Nannen, Emmery Nannen, and Eastyn Breece; along with many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. CT at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell with Rev. Chuck Rager officiating.
Memorial book signing will be held on Tuesday, 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. MT at Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala.
