Garry Lee Shepardson, age 70 of Paxton, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
Garry was born August 19, 1941 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Victor and Ruth (Green) Shepardson. He graduated from the Paxton High School in 1960. Garry attended electronics school in Denver, Colorado before becoming a ranch hand in Ellsworth, Nebraska.
He married Judy Burton on September 7, 1968 in Ogallala. They lived in Houston, Texas for two years before moving back to Paxton where Garry was employed by Nebraska Public Power District. He was an equipment operator for NPPD from 1971 until his retirement in 2004.
Garry was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping and boating and enjoyed teaching and doing these activities with family, particularly with his many nieces and nephews and carried on that love with his great nieces and nephews. Garry was a loving husband and devoted Uncle that helped raise and provide for three nephews who are eternally grateful to him.

Eric (Jennifer) Picquet and daughters Kylee and Ashlynn of North Platte, NE
And many other nieces and nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Shepardson and step brother, Leroy Follis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18th at the Paxton United Methodist Church with Ron Jay officiating. Burial will be in the Paxton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Gubser Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent at gubserfuneralhome.com. A memorial has been established in his memory.
