GLENN L. BUSS, 80 of Paxton, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Sutherland Care Center.
Glenn was born July 22, 1937, at Ogallala, Nebraska to Bert and Maxine (DeFord) Buss. He attended country school north of Ogallala before moving north of Paxton, where he completed his education.
Glenn worked at the Sale Barn at Ogallala for several years and also assisted at the irrigation canal north of Paxton. He had farmed for Glenard Barger for several years and had also been employed at the Henry Anderson Ranch, where he eventually retired from.
Glenn was gentle and very good natured. He was a simple man and didn't ever seem to complain about anything. Throughout the years, he always had a faithful Chihuahua companion to share his time with. Glenn enjoyed fishing and helping his nephew, Joe, with pheasants. He also cherished the time he got to spend with his brother working on the ranch together.
Most recently Glenn had been residing at the Sutherland Care Center, where he truly seemed to thrive. He loved socializing with his friends there and often greeted them with a big grin and a playful point of his finger.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Rogers; niece, Judy Chandler; and a nephew, Chase Chandler.
Survivors include his brother, Duane (Doris) Buss of Paxton, brother-in-law, Virgil Rogers; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Hope Baptist Church in Sutherland or to the Sutherland Care Center in his memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
