Hazel Belle Brunick
September 19, 1924 - April 4, 2025
Hazel Belle Brunick, born in Benkelman, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in Denver, Colorado, on April 4, 2025, at the age of 100. Born to Frank and Flossie Phifer on September 19, 1924, Hazel lived a life entirely of love and dedication.
Hazel attended school through her sophomore year of high school before marrying Robert Arthur Brunick in 1943. She worked at Montgomery Ward before becoming a devoted housewife and mother to their two children. Hazel's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
Hazel had a passion for gambling, dining out, and spending time with her family. Her greatest accomplishments were marrying Robert Brunick and raising her children. Hazel had a unique ability to find the good in everyone she met, and her warm and loving nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Hazel will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Elaine Springer; her sister, Evelyn Reid; her grandchildren, Keli, Krista, Darroll, and Derek; her great-grandchildren, Tylor, Bryce, Pierce, and Drake; her great-great-grandson, Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Brunick; her sisters, Lois and Gladys; her brother, Wayne; and her granddaughter, Lorrie.

Cremation has been chosen in accordance with her wishes, and a graveside committal service will take place Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
