Jeremiah VanLinda, 24, of Ogallala, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Jeremiah was born on January 21, 2000, in Alliance, Nebraska, to Richard C. and loving mother, Lisa M. (Sulak) VanLinda.
Jeremiah was a free spirited and dynamic individual whose enthusiasm for life was contagious. He will always be remembered as a good person who would help anyone in need, his love for music and for being an amazing uncle. He always wanted to build a family, and be a loving husband and a supportive father.
After completing his education in Ogallala, Jeremiah carved out a niche for himself as a mechanic, a handyman, and a jack of all trades. His profound love for anything with a motor and wheels was evident to all who knew him, as he always loved riding motorcycles and tinkering with engines. Beyond his mechanical skills, Jeremiah was an outdoorsman, delighting in fishing and searching for turtles and snakes.
Jeremiah had a vibrant spirit and zest for life. His love for animals was unmistakable. He was a cherished friend, known for his unwavering loyalty and the fun he brought to gatherings. He was a reliable source of laughter and fun, making every moment spent together memorable.
Jeremiah leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Lisa VanLinda of North Platte; father, Richard VanLinda of Idaho; siblings, Jon (Sarah) Dinkel of North Platte, Justin (Kimberly-Ann) Dinkel of Big Springs, Josh Dinkel of North Platte, Zack Cornelis of South Bend, IN, and Sarah VanLinda of WY. He was a fun and affectionate uncle to Trevor, Kanoa, Ivana-Dawn, and Luke Dinkel; grandfather, Cliff Sulak of Apple Valley, CA. His best friend, Jordan Fricke of Ogallala, and many other relatives and friends that will deeply miss his presence and smile. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his sister, Denae Evans.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Church in Ogallala.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jeremiah's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the services will be streamed live.
Arrangements are in the care of Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Ogallala.
