John Tom Gaillard III

December 1, 1936 — February 7, 2025

John T. Gaillard III died at the age of 88 on February 7th, 2025, at Indian Hills manor in Ogallala, Nebraska.

John T. was born December 1, 1936, in Wetumpka, Alabama, to John T. Gaillard II, and Frances Elizabeth Flanagan. He grew up in Auburn, Alabama. John's early education included high school and 1 year at Auburn university.

In July of 1955, he joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged in November 1962. One day later in 1962 he joined the Army until honorably discharged in February 1966. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Marsha Joan Dennis. They were married for 58 years. They were blessed with a son John Willard Gaillard in the year 1968. John T. enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment mechanic and caring for his family. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, motocross, and fixing anything.

He will be missed for his "take charge, don't mess with me or my family" attitude. As well, his always willing to try something and somewhere new approach.

John T. is survived by his son John Willard Gaillard; daughter-in-law Kellee Thorson; granddaughters Kaylyn (Gaillard) Hottel and Heather Heilman; his sister Linda Willman, along with other extended family.

John T. was preceded in death by his wife Marsha J. Gaillard; his parents; brother Terry Gaillard, and his 2 sons, Michael and Wesley.
