JOHN SCHNEIDER, 68 of Brule, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at his home in Brule.
John was born February 11, 1949, at Lamar, Colorado to Albert and Laura (LaRue) Schneider. He attended several different schools growing up, as his family moved frequently. John graduated from Ovid High School.
John entered the U.S. Army in November of 1968. Following his discharge, John returned to the Ovid area where he worked in farming and trucking before eventually going to work for the county roads department. He later took a job with the Nebraska State Department of Roads and moved to Brule. Most recently, John had been driving a truck for Jaeger Farms.
John was an avid hunter. He was an archery safety instructor for a few years as well. John also loved riding his motorcycle and woodworking. John's presence will be missed greatly by his family and close friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, George Schneider.
Survivors include his sons, Andy Tucker of Ogallala and Michael Schneider of Madrid; 2 grandsons; 4 siblings, Jim and Cliff Schneider, both of Brule, Virginia (John Miller) Collins of Julesburg, Frank (Brenda) Schneider of Ohio; along with many other relatives and friends.

Private memorial services will be at held at Prairie Hills Funeral Home at a later date. No interment of cremains is planned at this time.
