Mike Bixenmann

LAWRENCE MICHAEL "MIKE" BIXENMANN, 78 of Lewellen, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020, at Perkins County Community Hospital in Grant.
Mike was born on April 3, 1941, in Grand Island, Nebraska. He worked 31 1/2 years for AT&T in Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado. He retired from there in 1996 and moved to the "Lake Mac" area, where he established a handyman and mowing business and retired again around 2009. Mike loved boating and fishing and the lake.
Mike is survived by wife, Norma; sons, Andy (Danita) and Russ both of Texas; daughter, Lori Fye of Grand Island; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jason and Justin Underwood; his parents, John and Clara Bixenmann of Lake Mcconaughy; and all his siblings.
A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences can be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, January 15, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ernest as Celebrant. A rosary will be recited that morning at 9:30 am. Interment of cremains will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
