Nancy Jacobs, age 67 of Corydon IA, formerly of Big Springs and Lewellen, passed away April 8, 2014 at Corydon, IA.
Nancy was born October 20, 1946 at Denver, CO to Louis and Ella Louise (Day) Logan. Nancy attended Adams City High in Commerce City, CO.
Nancy later worked at 7-Up Bottling Company in Denver for nearly 20 years. Ion November 10, 1963, she married Kenneth Jacobs, and the couple resided in Commerce City, CO. Their union was blessed with 2 daughters, Kolleen & Joann. In 1995, the couple moved to Big Springs. Nancy worked at Safeway in Ogallala throughout their time in Big Springs. A few years after the loss of her husband in November of 1997, Nancy moved to Lewellen. In 2009, she moved to Florida to be closer to her family. Her final move was 3 short years later, when she moved to Corydon, IA to be closer to her sister.
Nancy, along with her husband, loved spending time outdoors. She deeply enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, trap shooting and car racing. She also enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, reading James Patterson and watching western movies.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Jacobs; father, Lewis Logan; and a sister, Nina Johnson.
Survivors include her mother, Ella Louise Wynn of Corydon; 2 daughters, Kolleen (Drew) Wallace of Rockledge, Fl, Joann Jacobs of Grand Junction, CO; 5 grandchildren, Kristina, Audrey (Jordan), Hannah, Michayla and Avery; great grandchildren, Nyalie, Leonidas, Jocelyn and Jayden; siblings, Darmon Logan of South Dakota, Robert (Phyllis) Logan of Aurora, CO, Karen (Gary) Johnson of Corydon, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala with Duane Dunwoody officiating. Burial will be in the Big Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala.
