Naomi Spencer, age 88 of Ogallala, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.
Naomi was born May 6, 1926 at Louisville, Kentucky to Frank and Mayme (Weber) Hazenbuhler. She attended school in Louisville.
Naomi was working for Allied in Louisville when it was purchased by Goodall Manufacturing in the 1950’s. Naomi moved to Ogallala as a result, and worked for Goodall Manufacturing, and then Arnold Engineering until her retirement in the early 1990’s. Most recently, she had made her home at Indian Hills Manor.
Naomi enjoyed her home and her yard. She loved taking walks and spending time with her daughter, Jeanette’s daycare children. Many those children saw Naomi as another grandma, and nicknamed her “Gram.” She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and the many children who she connected with over the years through daycare.
Naomi was preceded in death by her son, Wayne M. Spencer; son-in-law, Kenny Lehl; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Lehl of Ogallala; 3 grandsons, Michael Lehl and family at Humboldt, NE, Tony Spencer and family of Lakebay, WA, Billy Spencer and family of Seattle, WA; 2 great grandchildren, Amanda and Rebekah Lehl of Omaha; granddaughter in law, Mary Hammond of Omaha; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside inurnment services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ogallala Cemetery.
