RANDY L. GUBSER, 61 of Hastings, former longtime resident of Ogallala, passed away Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at Hastings.
Randy was born June 11, 1953 at Broken Bow, the son of Norman E. and Mary Lou (Furrow) Gubser. He graduated from the North Platte High School with the class of 1971.
Randy had owned and operated the Gubser Funeral Home until 2013. Since that time, he had managed the Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings.
Randy was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church where he had served on the St. Luke's School Board and the Parish Council.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Sullivan.
Survivors include his children, Jennifer Schneider and her husband Kyle, of Omaha, K.C. Gubser of Omaha; his 2 grandchildren, Kenley and Noah Schneider both of Omaha; step father, Leon Sullivan of North Platte; brother, Mitch Gubser of Durango, Colo.; and several other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will also be streamed live for those unable to attend.
Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at New Hope Church with Father Bryan Ernest and Pastor Eric Wait officiating. No inurnment or visitation is planned at this time.
