Regina L. Bradley, age 91, a longtime Ogallala resident, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor John Stubenrouch officiating.
Regina was born on a farm near Gothenburg, Nebraska on January 1, 1922, the daughter of Edwin and Ida (Block) Kampfe. The family moved to Brule, Nebraska when she was four. She attended the Brule schools. After her graduation from high school she attended cosmetology school in Denver, Colorado and later owned and operated a beauty shop for six years.
On July 21, 1944 she married Art Bradley at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brule. The couple moved to Ogallala in 1959 where Regina was employed by the gas company for twenty-five years before retiring in 1984.
Regina loved music and played the piano and organ for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for over fifty years. Her music and Bible study were very important to her. She was a member of the Circle II at St. Paul’s. Regina also enjoyed the friendship of her card group.
She is survived by her three sons, Rick (JoAnn) Bradley of Blythe, CA, Kurt (Kathy) Bradley of N. Augusta, SC and Chris (Teri) Bradley of Ogallala; four grandsons, Kyle (Melissa) Bradley of N. August, SC, Adam (Lauren) Bradley of Cleveland, OH, Joel (Caroline) Bradley of Spring, TX and Nick (Kristin) Bradley of N. Augusta, SC; two great grandsons, Jackson and Bennett Bradley; one brother, Harold (Beeb) Kampfe of Brule; two sisters, Orva Larson of Ogallala and Verla Hager of Provo, UT; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Bradley in 1997 and one brother Lester Kampfe.
Cremation was chosen. Inurnment will be at the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell with her husband Art.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School in Ogallala in Regina’s memory.
