ROBERT MCENTEE, 42 of Ogallala, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.
Robert was born February 9, 1975 in Ogallala to Dennis "Corky" and Correne (Boring) McEntee. He graduated from Ogallala with the class of 1993.
On July 3, 2010, Robert married Sharon Grimwood at the Grant Evangelical Free Church. The couple made their home in Ogallala and they were blessed with a daughter, Tracy. Robert worked at Sapp Brothers, TA Travel Center, and Sunmart before eventually taking a job at ASC in 2006.
Robert was dedicated to his family, and was a hard worker. Robert was lightheartedly branded as a bit of a penny-pincher by his family. In truth, Robert simply took pride in making sure his family was provided for the best way he knew how. When he became a father, Robert found a new sense of meaning in life. In 2016, following a cancer diagnosis for their daughter that left everyone shocked and devastated, Robert served as an anchor for his family, with his faith in Jesus serving as the anchor for himself. Robert was blessed to see his daughter make substantial strides in beating her diagnosis.
Robert loved the outdoors and animals. Despite his life ending far too soon, he leaves his loved ones with memories that will be cherished always.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Dennis "Corky" McEntee; along with his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife and daughter, Sharon and Tracy McEntee of Ogallala; mother, Correne McEntee of Ogallala; siblings, Glenna (Larry) Hill of Akron, CO, Brenda (Steve) Condon of Grant, Brent McEntee of Ogallala, Brock (Carla) McEntee of Columbus; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences can be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will be streamed live for those unable to attend.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 4pm at the Grant Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Russ Gaar officiating. Memorial Book Signing will be Friday, June 2, 2017 from 1pm to 7pm at Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala, NE.
