Robert J. Olson

ROBERT OLSON, 85 of Ogallala, passed away March 23, 2021, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.
Robert was born March 25, 1935, at Tilden, Nebraska, to Alvar and Ethel (Robertson) Olson. He graduated from Omaha Benson High School with the class of 1953.
Robert entered the U.S. Navy on September 9, 1954, and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge in October of 1956, Bob married Patricia J. Karlovec at Omaha. The couple made their home in Omaha for several years where he worked at Western Electric before moving to Yankton, SD where Bob took a job with Dale Electronics. From there Bob took a job with TRW until his retirement. Their union was blessed with three sons, Don, Ron, and David.
Bob favored spending time outdoors and loved sports. Bob was always involved in the sporting exploits of his children, either as a coach or as an official for their events. Those moments Bob shared with his children were always close to his heart. In later years, he cherished the time he got to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Beverly.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Ogallala, three sons, Don (Tamra) Olson of Claremore, OK, Ron (Sandy) Olson of Ogallala, David Olson of Abilene, TX; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-children.
