ROBERT M. WARBURTON, 61 of Northglenn, CO, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO.
Robert was born April 6, 1953 at St. Cloud, MN to Robert H. and Patricia (Peters) Warburton. He graduated from Northglenn High School in CO.
Following his education, Robert worked in sales at American Furniture in Denver, as well as Western Sportsman's Hunting and Fishing as a ranger (a job he cherished because it was based in the beauty of the outdoors), before starting Universal Mortgage and Lending. His life was blessed with 3 children, Hollie, Michael and Dylan.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting and fishing. Robert also liked to work on old clocks and radios, refurbishing them to make them like new. Most recently, Robert's life had been blessed with a grandson, which became a source of happiness and pride.
Robert was preceded in death by his 2 maternal uncles, Bernard J. Peters, Konrad C. Peters, maternal aunt, Everyl MacDonald; paternal uncle, Boyd Warburton; paternal aunt, Joan Warburton.
Survivors include his parents, Robert H. and Patricia Warburton of Ogallala; children, Hollie Murr of Brighton, CO, Michael and Dylan Warburton both of Parker, CO; 1 grandson, Stetson Murr of Brighton, CO; brother, Kirk Warburton of Westminster, CO; 3 sister, Connie (Vick) Kirk of Westminster, CO, Teresa (Patrick) Sullivan of Northglenn, CO, Gale (Zane) Watts of Hamilton, MT; 2 paternal uncles, Stanley Warburton of Lake Charles, LA; Jay Warburton, Fort Collins, CO; maternal uncle, Joseph Peters of Devil's Lake, ND; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in Robert's memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will also be streamed live for those unable to attend.
Services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala with Fr. Bryan Ernest officiating. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
Visitation for memorial book signatures will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home.
