It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rona Ansley, a beloved wife, mother, grammy, sister and friend. She will be remembered for her love, joy, warmth, and kindness.
Rona moved a lot growing up and learned to make friends quickly everywhere she went. Born with an enthusiasm for life and a love for people, Rona had a way of making everyone she met feel welcome and special. She had many jobs over the years, especially loving her customer service jobs at the local lake businesses. As a rancher, Rona was strong and capable, even when she got lost! Rona mostly enjoyed being a caretaker for her family, grandchildren, and friends. Beyond her work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life - shopping for treasures, reading the Bible, traveling, and experiencing new things. She was a people person, a great listener and showed great patience with everyone around her.
Rona is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Den; her son Brian and daughter-in-law Sarah, who were her pride and joy; her beloved grandsons Jackson and Alex, who brought endless pride and laughter to her life. She is also survived by a large, loving family, including several dear siblings. Not to be forgotten, her dog, constant companion, and partner in crime Sammie.
Rona will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her joy, generosity and love of life will forever be remembered and will live on in all our hearts.
An informal celebration of life will be held in Rona's honor on Saturday, November 30th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Sandhills Fellowship church in Lemoyne, NE. Online Condolences may be made at www.prariehillsfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to a charity of your choice (St. Jude's was a favorite of Rona's and supported over the years by her and Den), in her honor.
