Ruth Louise (Apolius) Rapp, 93, of Ogallala, passed away January 21, 2021, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.
Ruth was born January 14, 1928, in Perkins County, Nebraska, to Emil and Lydia (Froschheiser) Apolius. She attended rural school in Perkins County.
Ruth was Baptized on April 22, 1928, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ogallala and later confirmed in the faith there, on October 1, 1942.
On June 20, 1952, Ruth married Arthur Rapp at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ogallala, and their union was blessed with two children, Merlin and Cynthia.
Ruth was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ogallala. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and loved a good game of cards.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Art; twin brother, Emil; and a great-grandchild, David Schultz.
Survivors include her children, Merlin (Bev) Rapp of Paxton, Cynthia (Bob) Zelinski of North Platte; grandchildren, Kerri Rapp of Houston, TX, Jon (Eryn) Rapp of Ogallala, Jenilee Rapp of Omaha, Brittany Zelinski of Gering, Kendra (Josh) Schultz of North Platte, Trevor (Erin) Zelinski San Diego, CA, Tracy Zelinski Williston, ND, Rachel Zelinski of North Platte, and Nicole Zelinski of Beatrice; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ashlynn, Peyton, Haidyn, Raelynn, and Thatcher. Ruth is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rita Apolius, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Services will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ogallala, with Pastor John Stubenrouch officiating. Committal will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. Masks are preferable.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala.
