Theresa Jean Guggenmos, age 63 of Ogallala, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 31st at the Ogallala Radiant Life Church with Pastor Dave Gill officiating. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
Theresa was born December 17, 1949 at Gordon, Nebraska, the daughter of Wayne and Priscilla (Graf) Reitz. In 1952 the family moved to Venango where she attended school and graduated from the Venango High School in 1968.
After her graduation she moved to Grand Island where she attended business school before moving to Boston, MA in 1969. She later returned to Grand Island and lived in North Platte before moving to Ogallala in 1976. She married Jim Guggenmos on August 1, 1977 at Grant.
Theresa worked at Indian Hills Manor for four years and for TRW for a year before going to work at the Ogallala Community Hospital where she worked for twenty-eight years before retiring. Her interests included spending time with her family, camping, fishing and bowling. She was a member of Radiant Life Assembly of God Church in Ogallala.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Guggenmos of Ogallala; children, Tom and wife Kathy Guggenmos, Tamma and husband Bill Zulkoski, Kyle and wife Marlene Guggenmos, Annette and husband Miles Kerber, and Twila Guggenmos; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ferdela and husband Larry Johannes, LaVerne and wife Jo Ann Reitz, Alberta and husband Jim Trutte, Gerald Reitz, Ronald and wife Pat Reitz, Marie and husband Kevin Bieber, Bill and wife Edwina Reitz, and Ray Reitz; sister in laws, Yvonne and husband Rick Turner, Vivien Peterson; and brother in law, John and wife Wilma Guggenmos. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Reitz and a sister, Charlene.
