About Us

The funeral home was originally established as Bracken Mortuary. In the 1980s, the funeral home was purchased by the Gubser family and became known as Gubser Funeral Home.

For several decades, the Gubser family operated the funeral home with the same commitment to compassionate and professional funeral services that had been established by the previous owners.

In November of 2013, Jason and Meghan Tickle purchased the funeral home from the Gubsers. The Tickles continued the tradition of providing exceptional funeral services to families in Ogallala and the surrounding communities.

The funeral home was renamed Prairie Hills Funeral Home and under the ownership of the Tickle family, provides a wide range of funeral services, including traditional funerals, cremation services, and pre-planning options.

Today, Prairie Hills Funeral Home remains dedicated to serving families in and around Keith County with compassion, respect, and dignity during their time of need.
